Yes, it is true that the game can be improved as far as the dice functionality and I know the company is working very hard to fix this, among other if any, but the game is very nice and the idea is excellent. We must remember we are not in a perfect world here and should look at the whole picture instead of focusing on only one or two to dwell on. the game is entertaining and if you like gammon then you will enjoy the interaction with other players around the world. Enjoy

this is by far the best online backgammon app for the iPhone. BUT, the new the new board design isnt as good as the old one

(18 months, maybe an hour a day) Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh .............................................................. ..................GREAT BITS........................ 1: Once your games are active you play lots of quick games.. 2;If youve never played Backgammon this is the app to get you started.. 3:You can play at your own pace against real people around the world.. 4:No hassles like some of the BG apps were you have to make all your moves before the app crashes.. 5;This app has its own server that saves your moves/games. 6: Games can be played over a number of days when I have a few minuets 7;I just click and play a few of my games.. 8;If you want to play a full game straight through you can, 9:Ive found that I can pick up my phone any time day or night and there is always someone there to play.. ................................................................. TO GET THE BEST FROM THIS APP.. (screenshot this bit, it helps) 1:GO TO SETTINGS IN APP AND MAX ALL SETTINGS... 2;Visit the app at least twice every day for a week and I guarantee you will be hooked.. get gammon have fun playing. This is great game and if there really is a bug in game email developer so he can fix it. Great game great fun make some new friends.

The interface on this software needs some polish. Its unclear what the cancel button actually cancels. The game needs either a resign option or a doubling cube. It is difficult to get the pieces to move sometimes. Its unclear if chat is with just one player or an open forum. In either case, its always empty so I guess it doesnt matter... If you can get past the clunkiness of this app, its a lot of fun to have several games running at once.

Good game....nice that its turn based. Would like to see a real-time game this good.

I would not pay for an app like this, nor would i purchse a subscription. Graphics are poor, win/lose graphic pop up is anticlimactic, no options for doubling or points for winning while opponent is on the bridge. Also, some of the status designations are derrogatory (slave??). I think if someone had some creativity, they could design a better product.

I thoroughly enjoy this app. The updates have added nice features. Im addicted, so the server errors can be frustrating. Would like to have an option to not be invited to games with lower ranks, even if they are non-scoring. Received a new iTouch and couldnt transfer my profile, had to start all over, as a slave, with a new user ID. That was OK for me but your high ranking Senators would be furious. I tried several other Backgammon apps and this one was the best in my opinion.

Great game. Notifications are my only gripe. Badges show up no problem, but this would be 5 stars for me if notifications showed up in the notification center. Please add on update!!!!

Too many connectivity issues

Really enjoyed this game.. Then I noticed I had several Opponents that stats said beat me 3 games.. Hmm at the time had only a couple active games and not even seen the names before.. Then after server was down I lost all of My games I was ahead on.. Wow I think Im done

Excellent app! Curious to know how rank is determined (i.e. Slave, Laborer, Gladiator, etc.)?

Good simulation of the real game. Many online players. Games can drag out too long but usually go pretty well. The dice sometimes seem too predictable. In fact, very predictable, late in a game. Fun way to pass time. Can be frustrating, though. Leaving 72 hours as a window for moves is too long. Such is life.

Dice is rigged. Its not random

This is my favorite app. Great players, fun game. Dice are NOT rigged. There is a clear explanation in the FAQs about how they work. It is fun playing against real people rather than a computer, and there are skillful, experienced players and beginners, too. If you enjoy backgammon, give this a try.

Only app I can find for tournaments. I get booted off a lot and have trouble hitting the right spike with my finger. I can fix accidental moves though and I really love the tournaments. I want to see how much it costs after my intro month. Dice are random. I dont think they have a guy spending his days doctoring rolls.

Why iOS 6 only? This is one of the only GAME I have seen that REQUIRES iOS 6 or above. Most run 4.3 or above and some still work all the way down to 4.0. I have too many devices that cant be upgraded to iOS 6, so this version only runs on one of my devices.
